Region Ensemble Sheet Music Waivers: OPEN NOW!Students who are enrolled in the Free/Reduced Lunch Program at their home schools, participate in a school music ensemble, and are nominated by an NJSMA music director are eligible to receive free audition sheet music for 2021-2022 Region I ensembles! See the application forms below to register.

Virtual College Fair: December 1, 2021Directors: Save the Date! Wednesday, December 1st @ 9:30 AM will be our 2nd Annual Virtual College Fair! This event is for students who are the first in their families to attend college and are interested in pursuing degrees in music.

Region I Auditions: Fee Waivers and Transportation SupportNJSMA is once again offering audition/participation fee waivers and transportation support to Region I auditions. Application forms will be shared in the fall of 2021.
Expanded Ensemble Festival: January 11, 2022NEW PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY! The NJSMA is hosting an Expanded Ensemble Festival in January 2022! This event will feature performances by non-standard performing ensembles. We are looking to showcase modern bands, music tech ensembles, Latin Bands, handbell choirs, mariachi bands, bagpipe ensembles, and more! Registration for school performance groups will be available in September, 2021.
NJSMA Region Guitar Festival: May 2022NEW PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY! NJSMA will be hosting a Region I Guitar Festival in May 2022. Auditions, locations, and repertoire will be announced in Fall 2021.
Urban/Rural Music Happy Hours: TBAWe look forward to connecting with NJSMA members from urban and rural school districts! 2021-2022 Happy Hour dates and locations will be announced in Fall 2021.
